Info on V-22 Osprey
The V-22 Osprey aircraft is a STOL and VTOL aircraft. It is designed to
perform the role of a helicopter with the performance of a turboprop
aircraft. The tiltrotor aircraft takes off and lands like a helicopter.
Once it is airborne, its engine nacelles can be rotated to convert the
aircraft to high-speed, high-altitude flight. The aircraft is twice as
fast as a helicopter with greater range, plus has an air-to-air refuel
capability.
